(Gloria Helfgott) Down the Rabbit Hole inspired by Lewis Carroll's booksA unique artist's book object by Gloria Helfgott. 2006. 7" x 4.5". Two 4.5" x 4.5" blocks on a painted wooden base. A hole in the top block contains the bottom half of a small wooden painted figure with paper clothing. The bottom block has cut-out holes, each containing different objects - a small red teapot, a black top hat, white gloves and the face of a clock. Both blocks are painted and written on in white acrylic ink over beige acrylic paint on Davey board. Both blocks turn separately on a painted wooden base, with metal construction. Laid in a red cloth dropback box lined with red suedette with a white painted wooden rabbit on the right hand bottom of the lid. Signed, titled and dated by the artist on the bottom of the base of the work. Fine. sold
